Jadi Uwi lagi ngidam pancakes hari Sabtu kemaren. Akhirnya hari ini gue, Uwi dan Marsha berusaha untuk makan di Strictly Pancakes daerah Dhoby Ghaut. Tapi sayangnyaaa, restorannya tutup. Karena sangat kurang beruntung, akhirnya kita ganti haluan ke Baja Fresh, restoran Mexico yang nampilin jam Los Angeles, jualan bir dari Jerman, dan pelayannya rata-rata orang India. Sangat multikultural. Selama beberapa jam makan, kita ditemani oleh lagu dari si seksi Enrique Iglesias ;) dan pas banget yang keputer lagu-lagu nostalgia kelas 8 :3 seperti ini:

Kita juga ke Gramophone karena Marsha mau liat-liat vinyl (alternatif gitu ya ngga sha hahaha). Karena vinylnya mahal akhirnya Marsha beli DVDnya Like Crazy dan Uwi beli DVD Paprika (alternatif juga ya wi wkwk) yang membuahkan percakapan seperti...
M: "Kok Paprika?" U: "Iya, nama ceweknya Paprika kalo ga salah" S: "Aneh-aneh aja. Bayangin lo punya anak namanya Ketumbar" U: "Atau kalo enggak, Jahe" M: "Yang bumbu khas indo dong, apa kek. Kunyit gitu."
Selain itu gue juga nemu CD yang lagi di sale murah-murah kebangetan seperti ini yang gue beli akhirnya pun... (struktur kalimat hancur)
Dan juga menemukan CD Kotak yang mana adalah band asal Indonesia Raya Merdeka Merdeka. Tapi harganya kejam banget ya parah... Jujur tadi waktu liat mau nggak mau kita bertiga ketawa ngakak tapi kasihan juga.... Btw, udah di cek 50 cent = Rp 3.893,88 (www.xe.com)

John Clayton Mayer to me is today's genius. If you have ever seen 'Where The Light Is' and see him play live, you obviously know what I mean. He can sing a song live and make it better than the recording version. Or even, if you have ever listen to one of his song, you will agree that he is a genius.
He does not always sing to people about love like the majority of the artist today. He sings about life. He sings and plays guitar with his heart poured out. His lyrics might not mean anything if you didn't pay attention but when you listen to it the second time, you'll gonna be awed.
Now, let's go talk about his latest album, 'Born and Raised'.
Here's a funny thing. I bought the album in one of the music store here in Singapore. When I got home ready to listen to it, this is what I found:
That's right people. It's Kris Allen's CD inside John Mayer's CD case because I'm special. (I got it fixed now, though :P)
Anywaaay, his new album is GREAT. I personally love it. But is it just me or he sounds a lot more like country in this album? Is it because of Taylor Swift? I mean, 'Battle Studies' was a lot more pop-y and this one sounds quite country-ish. John Mayer is still John Mayer though, don't worry. It's just the influences that he got are constantly changing since he's an artist.
Also, if you hear 'Shadow Days' does it remind you of 'Friends, Lovers or Nothing' from the previous album? Because to me you can just mash the song together.
If you want to find the John Mayer that you think you know in this album, then you should probably listen to 'Speak to Me', 'If I Ever Got Around to Living' and 'Something Like Olivia'. The guitar riffs are similar to his previous works. Still, with a little touch of country to it (in my opinion). But in the end, if you listen to the whole album, it's still the same John Mayer that we always know in every single song, as I've stated earlier.
He also collaborated with the amazing Chris Botti in 'Walt Grace's Submarine Test, January 1965' too!
To summarize, the album is amazing amazing great awesomely AMAZING. Okay, this is probably a little bit biased cause I love him like crazy but he is great and you know it.

I have a lot of things I wanna buy! So here's my wishlist that I share with you guys :)
I still want a camera, for myself. I want to buy instax but the film that I need to buy is kinda expensive. One pack consists of 10 film, if i'm not mistaken. And that's quite harsh on my money. If I buy lomo, it's kinda hard to find the film. Because it's hard to find, sure it's expensive. So toycam will be the one that I possibly want...
or, I can just buy a digital camera instead...
And, for new music CD I really really want Sandhy Sondoro The Script My Chemical Romance James Blunt Westlife Eric Clapton Shayne Ward Glee DVD Michael Buble Norah Jones Phil Collins Josh Groban Maroon 5 ... etc.
Okay, I need to stop or else I'm gonna write every artist that I know. Hahah.

Exam update: 4 down 2 more to go! I have done English, Business, Music and Physics *pheww* tomorrow maths and then self study and I'm done with all these exams! I really hope I'll get great scores

Tadi waktu gue pulang les gue ngeliat ada anak-anak SMP gitu deh. Di deket stasiun MRT yang deket rumah gue kan ada sekolah katolik gitu. Tapi sayangnya itu all boys school jadi gue ga boleh masuk :( Nah mereka tuh rame rame begitu. Berkelompok kelompok. Tadi sih gue liat ada 4. Mereka megang bendera trus ada selendangnya masing2 gitu per kelompok. Mereka bawa map terus kayaknya mereka ditugasin buat pergi ke salah satu tempat gitu deh. Keliatan seru gitu aaaaaaaa. Tiba-tiba gue jadi inget waktu gue masih SD...
Dulu di sekolah gue ada retret. Sesuatu yang ga bakalan pernah ada di sekolah gue yang sekarang. Waktu retret, keliatan banget kita semua berbaur. Yang musuhan, yang sebel2an, yang pacaran, sahabat, abis putus, semua bener2 ngebaur buat retret. Dulu, tradisinya waktu retret ada jurit malem. Jadi gini, di salah satu hari, paginya kita dibawa outdoor semacam jalan2 ke hutan gitu. Nanti malemnya, kita sendiri bakalan ngelewatin jalan yang tadi kita lewatin itu. Tengah malem pake obor sama peta, per kelompok. Trus kita musti lewatin bangunan2 serem gitu deh. Plus di gangguin kakak2 pembinanya yang bikin makin serem aja.
Buat gue itu semua bener2 berarti. Dari kerja sama kelompok, nenangin satu sama lain, bareng ngelewatin sesuatu yang kita smua belom pernah lewatin. Itu berharga banget menurut gue. Kita takut bareng dari awal jalan, abis itu pas udah selesai kita juga seneng2 bareng, ngerasa lega bareng. Rasanya enaak banget :D
Trus waktu itu juga pernah ada acara gereja di sekolah. Pas abis maghrib gitu kan udah gelap. lampu sekolah semua dimatiin. Per kelompok, tanpa kakak pembina, cuman pake lilin satu senter satu, kita jalan ngelilingin sekolah. Kalo hari2 biasa, sekolah kan terang banget, tapi ini semuanya jadi beda. Udah sekolah disitu 6 tahun, pasti tau lah semuanya tentang gedung itu. Tapi ini rasanya lain. Di takut2in juga sih. Tapi tetep aja lain. Kita kaya saling ngebagi perasaan, ngejaga satu sama lain. Menurut gue, semua itu penting banget. Dan menurut gue juga, itu cara paling ampuh buat ngelatih itu (atau kira2 begitu)
Gue jadi mikir lagi, balik ke anak2 sekolahan yang ketemu gue di stasiun. Kita di set di cerita yang sama kan? Tanpa arah cuman ada peta. Tanpa pembimbing. Tapi entah kenapa buat gue, yang gue lewatin itu lebih seru. Karna satu, waktu gue jurit kita jalan kaki dan mereka bisa naik kereta atau bis ke tempat yang dituju. waktu gue jurit sama juga sih sama mereka, malem. Tapi gue cuman pake obor atau lilin. Mereka punya penerangan yang bagus lah, kan mereka bisa masuk2 stasiun, tinggal di kota yang udah canggih, dsb. Jadi entah kenapa menurut gue, yang mereka laluin itu seru. Tapi tetep aja seruan gue. Hahaha. Gue jadi inget lagi gimana rasanya musti percaya sama temen sekelompok lo yang bahkan lo jarang ngomong. Gimana rasanya musti nyiptain ikatan sm temen sekelompok lo kalo lo abis berantem sama dia.
Dan sekali lagi gue sadar betapa berharganya temen-temen gue.
Sepenggal cerita yang bikin emosi gue campur aduk gatau kenapa haha.

Semester exam is almost over! Tinggal satu lagi language test! dan bahkan gue gatau tuh language test itu ngapain ahhahaha :DD Jadi ya sudah kita berserah aja sama yang diatas oke dah. wkwk.
Okee jadi main topic hari ini adalah kejadian yang gue alami waktu hari minggu kemarin. Jadi gue belanja bulanan cemilan gue :) di hougang dan makan lunner (lunch dinner. okay i made it up just now. hahaha) di ajisen ramen oh yeaaah hahaha. Trus gue pulang rencana mau naik bus dari kovan langsung ke rumah bareng bokap juga biar deket dan ga perlu jalan kaki. Setelah turun dari mrt, gue pun jalan keluar dari mrt station ke arah heartland mall. Tadinyaaa, gue sama bokap gue mau jalan ke bus station lewat heartland mall. Tapi langkahku seketerika eh salah, seketika terhenti. Mengapa oh mengapa? Karena ada toko di depan mall nya gituu, memutar lagu yang terkenal di jagad permusikan Indonesia. It was SUARAby HIJAU DAUN (thanks for meita yang sudah membenarkan versi twitternya. hoho). Yoi lagu Indonesia udah merajalela sampe Singapura. Bukan cuma band-band besar tapi Hijau Daun pun mulai melebarkan sayapnya keluar negri.
(FYI, gue ngakak di depan emper itu lhooo terus bokap gue bingung, nanya gue kenapa trus gue malah ketawa terus hahahha)
Terus kemaren, gue makan lagi di ajisen ramen sama thasya. Trus abis makan thasya bilang,
T: sis gue mo beli dessert nih S: mo beli apa lo? T: hemm, gue beli blizzard aja kali ya? S: hah?? lo mau beli LIZZARD?
Okee trus thasya akhirnya beli blizzard setelah muter muter trus di depan stand nya ada tulisan "Served Upside Down" trus dalem hati gue mikir gitu, served upside down? gimana coba tuh makannya? Bolongannya di bawah trus lo nyendoknya gimana? Ditengah otak gue yang muter2 gitu buat mikirin kaya gitu gue memutuskan untuk bertanyaaa.
S: thas kok itu served upside down? gimana tuh? T: loh lo ga pernah tau? aduuh ntar deh lo liat (mohon diingat gue agak katro wkkw)
Pas mbaknya selese bikin akhirnya gue tau apa arti seved upside down, itu tuh cuma pas mbaknya udah selese bikin trus nanti dia kasi ke elo dalam keadaan terbalik. Abis itu? Yaudah lo makan aja dengan cara makan manusia normal yang otaknya ga terbalik. So simpleee.
O iya kawan, dirumah gue disini kan ada alat namanya smart sealer yang gue ga pernah tau itu apaan karna gue coba2in ke benda2 tapi ga ngaruh. Itu benda berbentuk kaya stapler tapi ga ada tajem2nya itu. Hal itu diganti dengan dua bantalan empuk yang akan bertemu pada saat lo menekan kedua gagangnya dengan gerakan mirip kalo lo mau men-stapler something. Trus tadi gue iseng gue cobain ke tangan. Pertama, ga ada apa-apa. Kedua, kerasa sesuatu gitu. Yang ketiga......
