The Gardens By The Bay

After a long long day of accompanying Thas shopping around orchard for her uni life (which has already started) in Holland, we stop by Wisma Atria food court to eat a late lunch and met Uwi. When one random idea from Thas came. Next stop from Wisma Atria ---> The Gardens By The Bay.

We arrived and sat by the lake for quite a long time. It was really peaceful and windy and it's such a beautiful place I'm not gonna lie! There are 2 conservatories, both have numerous of plants from around the world. We couldn't get in because it's so expensive (for us). It was around $25-28 to get in the two buildings. There are also thematic section of the gardens. The one I remember was the Indian Garden and it has all the spices of Indian cuisine and Thas said it smells like coconut.

The final decision is to go to the OCBC Supertree Grove (because it was only $5/person) which has a skywalk around 22 metres above the ground. It was SOO COOL!! You can walk through or even sit down on the bridge. The thing that makes it a wee bit scary is just the fact that sometimes when a lot of people walk or jump it feels like the bridge is bouncing up and down.. But still it's cool!! :D

These are the pictures I took when I was walking on the bridge :)

*One of the supertree grove. Look at how small people are down there!*

One thing to note, don't go there past 7PM because the mosquitoes are... A LOT. Other than that, it's such a peaceful calm quite place. Me Gusta!

We still think that if you say the name fast enough, you'll be rapping your rhythm out.

Snow Avengers and The Huntsman

Right after the last IB exam I had two months ago (can't believe it was two months ago!), Thasya and I went straight to the cinema to watch this...

THE AVENGERS! (5/5)

I just had to give a full 5 for this movie. I think this movie is brilliant! The effects, the story, the actors, the everything! All the heroes have their own little moments and... I don't know it's just great! The final battle scene especially, that really highlight the characteristic of each of them. How Captain America acts like a captain with his authority organised everyone, how Loki is just pure evil but misunderstood, how Ironman is just in a word awesome...

I remember I how me and Thasya were so noisy discussing about stuffs and we were both shocked when Loki attacked Son of Coul :'( We hope he didn't really die...

And I especially like the bromance between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark! <3

Few days after we got back from our little grad trip to Bali, me, Thasya and Meita went to develop our lomo film rolls and while waiting we went to the cinema to watch...

SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN (3/5)

If I'm that mean, I would give this movie a 2 out of 5... The story is supposed to be good, I guess. I gave 3 because of the elfs and the girls with scars on their faces, they're good. Also for Charlize Theron, the queen... She screamed a lot but her acting was good (for me) plus she looked extremely gorgeous throughout the movie.

Chris Hemsworth was doing good as well but I couldn't hear his lines, every time he talks we burst in to laugh it's just too funny. And he had an axe with him all the time. We couldn't bear to compare it with Mjolnir...

Kristen Stewart was... well, she was doing it better than any of the Twilight movies... But, I don't know, I still think that she could've done it better. The funniest thing was how she looked like she was carrying a heavy load and looked like she was hurt (especially at the last scene when the crown was placed on her head).

And I don't like the way the movie ends... What happened with The Huntsman?

So, there you go guys! My review of the 2012 summer blockbuster! Will be doing another review soon :D

Hope for the Younger Generations

I went out with his family and we were in his car listening to the radio over our talking.

Suddenly, there's a new song coming up on the radio, very similar to popular song nowadays with the techno beat and weird sounds.. (It was The Hardest Ever by Will.i.am ft. Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger hahaha) and the younger kiddos in the car were so excited over this song and actually sung it. Typical today's kids music, I guess...

But then, another song came up. A song by Bon Jovi, Never Say Goodbye... (I thought it was)

The whole car was in silence when the song came up. I was singing to it and suddenly the guys were singing to the reff too!

Even when he asked who the singer was (because he thought it was Aerosmith), the guys were screaming: "It's Bon Jovi!!"

That, my friend, I believe, is the hope we have in the younger generations to listen to good music! :D

Here's a little present:

*kudos/cheers to the family!*
